Christian Yström works as a product manager at Vreten and has a strong focus on the international market. Every day, he works to provide our dealers with good conditions and assists them whenever needed. He describes himself as a support in the background. Christian also works with relationships with our dealers and focuses on long-term thinking and building security for both parties. This is something that always permeates Vreten's business philosophy.

The love of the forest

In his spare time, Christian likes to spend a lot of time in the forest, which is something close to his heart. He describes it as time for himself in solitude, which gives him a combination of energy and calm. During the winter, he can see fox tracks in the snow and follow them for a while. The forest is powerful, and you can feel all the seasons. You see your surroundings growing and nature full of life. He goes on to explain that the forest is part of our origins—we have always sought it out.

First contact with Vreten

Christian has worked at Vreten for over 10 years, but his relationship with Vreten's products goes back much further than that. Even when he was young, his family used Vreten's products on the farm where he grew up just outside Hjo. He remembers one of his first jobs as a young boy, picking stones in the field. Even then, he used a stone rake from Vreten. A few years later, it was time to plow snow, and he used a pointed plow from Vreten. He explains that he believes many people share memories of using Vreten's products in agriculture, often for several generations.

Therefore, it was a natural decision for Christian to take the opportunity to start working at Vreten and contribute to the development of forestry. Christian further explains that quality is important to him, especially the right quality. Vreten offers products with a long service life that are designed to last an entire working life, and then hopefully be passed on to the next generation and tomorrow's farmers and foresters.

The beginning of a new journey

In 2018, Vreten was acquired by Bala Agri, and a bright change lies ahead. Vreten has gained better conditions through the merger. This means that production has been moved to a more modern facility with greater opportunities. The aim is to be able to develop and manufacture even better products. In addition, we have greater capacity and can increase volumes. It is time for us to showcase an updated Vreten as a traditional company with completely new conditions.

– You can expect Vreten's products to be a reliable working partner, preferably for several generations. It should be evident from our products that we have focused on usability rather than price. Our goal is to consistently deliver good products that add functional value for the user. We don't remove features that make a difference in order to save on costs. – For me,the 1000 traileris a big favorite. It's a really great trailer with just the right size and is suitable for many different types of forestry work. It also has a powerful crane and slewing ring. Whatever you grab, it lifts. This makes the trailer efficient and helps you save time.
